The term "Christian" originally meant a Christ Follower. A true Christian, then, is a disciple of Jesus Christ.“True Christianity” is a centered set and not a bounded set. Neither I nor any other mere human has the authority to decide who is and who is not a true Christian—other than as a matter of personal opinion.

The general belief though is that a Christian generally follows the basics below:

A Christian believes in God and the one and only true God.

A Christian is not ashamed to admit that Jesus is Lord.

A Christian believes that the Bible is the inherent word of God.

A Christian believes that God came to earth, born as a human (Jesus Christ) and was born of a Virgin.

A Christian is one who has personally received Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

A Christian believes in their heart that God raised Jesus from the dead.

A Christians is a sinner who admits that they are a sinner.

Christians truly believe in the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, that his death on the cross and the blood he shed was for

the payment and forgiveness of our sins.

A Christian believes that it is by faith in Jesus that they are saved. That we are not saved by works.

A Christian knows that because of God's free gift of grace, that we should honor him by doing good things for others.

A Christian is one who has a heartfelt desire to attempt to live to live as Christ did.
